Pets in the City
If you have pets or love animals, here’s an event that you would barking mad to miss. Pets in the City is an annual event put on by Dublin City Council, supported by the DSPCA and King of Paws, that highlights responsible pet ownership.
Pet owners all over the city will descend on Smithfield Square where there’ll be a host of stalls selling accessories for your furry friend, grooming bits and bobs, and of course, toys. There will also be stands with information and advice from the DSPCA.
Visitors can look forward to a visit with farm animals and, for the brave, a reptile haven, with special face painting and kid-friendly talks and entertainment for the little ones.
And the action isn’t all exclusive to humans. The Scrufts (like Crufts, but scruffier) Dog Show will see dogs compete for rosettes, while there will also be dog agility workshops and you can even avail of DSPCA microchipping for your furry friend.
