1.Cruinniú na Cásca

  The perfect setting to showcase both old and new. On the music stage you will hear live performances from diverse acts such as Landless, Inni-K, Crash Ensemble and Slow Moving Clouds in the upper courtyard. With a tented village with theatre and crafting workshops plus a full day of coding workshops for all budding computer programmers.  Not forgetting lots of entertainment for all the family with outdoor games in the Dubh Linn gardens. Over sixty indoor talks will happen in venues around the city centre on themes ranging from arts and culture to creativity and inclusion.

2. The Story Of the Capital

Dublin City Hall has a museum/exhibition in the basement, called “The Story of the Capital”, it is an exhibition that you should definitely check out at some stage. Opening hours are Monday-Saturday 10:00-17:15.

The Green Door Market is a new indoor food/Farmer’s Market that takes place just a few doors down from the Dublin Food Co-op at Newmarket in Dublin 8.

4. Mad Hatters Tea Party

  The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party is one of the most famous scenes from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.  To celebrate Easter and the full bloom of spring, DLR Events invite young and old to put on their maddest hat and come to the Mad Hatters Tea Party. This year the Mad Hatters Tea Party falls on Easter Sunday so a highlight will be the new Easter Egg Hunt. Follow the signs around the park, collect the code words from the back of the signs, get them all right and collect an Easter treat.

5. Mc Faddens Funfair

6.Castlecomer Discovery Park Easter Activities

There are plenty of Easter fun activities at Castlecomer Discovery Park. On Easter Sunday from 11am to 4pm there is an Easter egg hunt costing €10 per family. Also on Easter Sunday for ages 2 and over you can decorate your own Easter glove puppet from 11am to 4pm in the Visitor Centre. Booking advised.

7.Easter Family Fun Day

  Why not bring the family along to our Easter Fun day at Battle of the Boyne, where children can pet animals with Wooly Wards mobile farm, watch Martin the Magician perform tricks, and see a puppet show. There will be something to entertain kids of all ages!

             8. Easter Egg Hunt at the Birr Castle

  The race is on to find the hidden eggs in the formal gardens and fill your bucket to get some tasty Easter treats. Easter Egg Hunt included in admission price. Egg hunt will begin at 12.00 and is open to the first 200 children to arrive on the day.

10. Galway Food Festival

The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Food and Community’. Food is central to the stories we tell each other and is vital for forging a sense of community. Galway is home to many different communities, both local and international. In an age of increased migration, we are witness to so many new people arriving in Galway bringing with them their own food culture. It is central that we marry these global cultures with our own in order a secure a brighter future for food. Together, we can make a change and make food a central part of our daily lives. Our Breaking Bread event on Easter Monday is one of the many events that seek to bring our community together.

11. Easter Parade

The town’s Easter Sunday parade is an annual celebration of Roscommon’s legendary community spirit in action.  It is wonderful occasion where all aspects of life in Roscommon can be showcased and celebrated.  We are calling on all businesses, community groups, sports clubs, schools and voluntary organisations to put in a float to make this year’s parade one of the best yet!

12. Easter Egg Challenge

Lifetime Lab in association with Bishopstown and District Lions Club have a great day organised to get the Easter weekend started ! On Good Friday 14th April a host of activities including face painting, make and do, balloon making, falconry and magic shows are on offer all centered around an eggciting Easter Egg Challenge. All completed Easter egg quiz cards will receive a prize and proceeds from the event will be distributed to local primary schools in the Bishopstown area.

13.  Tír na nÓg Festival

IRELAND’S best children’s festival – Tír na nÓg Children’s Festival – returns to Tralee, Co Kerry this Easter with a MASSIVE list of fun events for youngsters this coming March 25th-28th. A full programme of indoor and outdoor activities are planned at various locations with – Easter Egg Hunts, Duck Races, Puppet Shows, Family Night at the Dogs, Arts and Craft Workshops, Teddy Bears & Dollies Picnics, Bonnie Baby Competition, Animal Farms and Bug Hunts! 17. Easter Trail

Follow the Easter bunny’s clues around the Ulster Museum to find some interesting items. The Easter trail is suitable for children of all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult. The trail takes place over all the levels, starting on level five and finishing on the ground floor. After successful completion, bring your completed sheet to the welcome desk on the ground floor where you might get an ‘eggcellent’ reward
